Cool Mozilla Firefox Tricks

This egg is for some cool firefox tricks. I know some of these might be on the internet already, but these are some i found accidentally.



You lazy people out there who dont like grabbing the mouse, or for people who have laptops and cant go fast with moving your touch pad, here are some tricks:

Ctrl+Tab ---- Switches tabs going forwards.

Ctrl+Shift+Tab ---- Goes to the tab you were just at.

Ctrl+1-9 ----- If you like to have alot of tabs open, then you should use this. Press Ctrl and whatever number your tab is then it will redirect you to it.


Here are some mouse tricks that most of them get on my nerves because i accidentally do them when im doing something really important but you might like them:


Middle click on link - Opens whatever the link is in a new tab.
Shift-scroll down - Goes to the page before the one your on now.
Shift-scroll up - Does the opposite of the one above.
Ctrl-scroll up - Makes text smaller.
Ctrl-scroll down - Makes text bigger.
Middle click on a tab - Closes the tab.

Here are some shortcuts for your keyboard.

Spacebar - Scrolls down.
Shift-Spacebar - Scrolls up.
Ctrl+F - Finds.
Alt+N - Finds a second term.
Ctrl+D - Bookmarks a page.
Ctrl+T - Opens a new tab.
Ctrl+K - Goes to search.
Ctrl+L - Goes to address bar. ( URL )
Ctrl+W - Closes tab.
F5 - Reloads the page.
Alt+Home (go to home page)

Here are some links that are very useful. I found these off a site and DO NOT take credit for them.

chrome://browser/content/browser.xul - Paste that into your url and it opens another fireox inside the tab.

chrome://browser/content/bookmarks/bookmarksPanel.xul - Opens Book Marks folder.

chrome://browser/content/history/history-panel.xul - Opens history panel.

chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul?type=extensions - Opens extensions.

chrome://browser/content/preferences/cookies.xul - Opens Cookies window.
chrome://browser/content/preferences/sanitize.xul - Opens Clear Private data.

chrome://browser/content/aboutDialog.xul - Opens About firefox.

chrome://browser/content/credits.xhtml - These are the people we have to think for bringing firefox to us.

Here are some things to try with google. I got these from lifehacker and do not take credit for them.

Type in What Time Is It then where ever you want to know what time it is.

You can enter a airline and flight number then it will show up. :)

Well these are some of the tricks i accidentally found out for myself and some i got off the internet. Have fun. :)

Also, Ctrl+clicking a link will open it in a new tab, rather helpful for 4chan.

This is pretty basic stuff, but I guess I didn’t know it, so who am I to complain, I’ll vote whatever its already on, which is almost 5, so, 5.
