On March 14th I explored an abandoned train yard? In South Carolina. The factory seemed to be in bad condition, with the exception of a couple “newer” looking things.
Two people were with me when I did this. One has a RE account under the username TOB3RT.(Toby)
We snuck out a while back; about a year and a half ago, and we ended up three miles away from our house. Well we decided to go back just recently; just to make this egg. We looked for it and finally found it, and proceeded to make this egg
Now, without further ado, the Egg itself.
So I will start this egg off with the journey to it. It was right by a college, and the nearest place we could park was kind of far. So, we had to walk a long trek of train tracks to get there.
Toby taking a piss, almost at the factory.
Another, closer, view of the factory.
So we arrived at the factory, only to find most entrances were blocked off. But there was a cheap padlocked fence, and we snipped the bottom right corner of the left part of the fence. Right after we did this, Toby just slipped right through the middle.
A picture of it:
That guy in the black and red jacket is our neighbor, and he goes to high school with me.
So after we had gotten through the fence, we were faced with another problem. There was only only a train track that lead the way through the factory, or we would have to jump off.
Pictures of what im talking about
Here are a couple of pictures of the factory while we were up there.
So after pondering the idea of going across them, we just decided to hang from the cross braces(wooden posts that lie under iron tracks, and shimmy down the cement posts holding it up.
Pictures after we had gotten down
After we took these pictures we split up. Toby took some pictures of some Graffiti and of some garage doors.
All of the garage doors were open, so we looked inside. What was inside, you may ask?
This:
We had a hard time trying to figure out which way to go, and since it was going to get dark soon, we couldn’t cover the whole factory,
We went past this graffiti
Turned, and found kind of a courtyard which just had a lot of walls and nobody bothered to take pictures of it.
We went into a section of the warehouse that was the only exit out of the courtyard without backtracking.
It lead to this:
Which had all this in it: Some places were too dark, therefore; our 2.0 mega pixel cameras couldn’t see crap.
Despite the warning we roamed it anyways:
We found an “open” doorway and saw these Material lifts:
There were stairs that we walked down, and here is what we were faced with:

Turning around we saw this:
Toll Booth:
Inside Toll Booth:
Traveling just to the left of the booth, was a series of small buildings, but we only went into one.
Outside of building:
Inside:
Two file cabinets off to the side in a small room:
^That one had a bunch of tools, tape, materials, a condom, and a lot of other random things. I failed to take pictures of these, though.
After we left there, we saw a building with a set of stairs. We traveled up the stairs, and looked at the surroundings.
Inside of the building:
As we headed down the stairs, we decided it was time for us to “Hit the ‘ol Dusty Trail” so we took a couple of random pictures and left; knowing we would make a part 2 so the fabulous community of RE could see it all.
Random Pictures:
Views of the factory as we were leaving:
Oh and finally, a Mustang we found in a random parking lot by the factory:
Beyond this, the factory was huge. So huge, that I have to make a part 2 for everybody to see it all.
Any questions? If so please post them in your comments, or message me and/or TOB3RT.
