This happend our sophomore year at BU. Three of my friends and I had been thinking about climbing the Citgo sign for a while now. Whenever we’d get baked it always came into our conversation. Then one night, well actaully it was like 5 in the morning, we decided we would do it. We grabed this rope off of my roof, I don’t know why there was a huge rope on my roof, there just was, and we haulded ass over to the sign. Well, below the sign was a ten story building. We climbed up the fire escape. The fire escape did not reach the roof, but came about 15 ft away from it. So we somehow used the rope and climbed onto the roof. We ran across a couple of roofs. We then scaled this small structure that lead to the wall that came before the citgo sign roof. There was a birbed wire fence around it though. One of my friends jimmied the wire until we could just get through. We where on the roof just below the sign. We climbed onto it but not till the top, it was getting super light outside. We then smoked a bowl and wrote our name there for future generations. Well, we’re all graduating this year, 2001, and I think I speak for all of us when I say it was among one of the most interesting experiences of my college career.
