Well after successfully making flash powder with my friend, we went to work on making the most effective M80 (basically the best tubing) and i believe i found it. The best thing to use for tubing are markers whether they be Crayola, dry erase, expo, ect. not only are these extremely loud with minimal powder but they are also waterproof (you also need water proof fuse however).
here is an egg on how to make the marker into an awesome firework that actually is over at least twice as loud as an M80.
First you take the marker and cut off the tip and pull out the ink cartridge so you are left with an empty tube with back end still sealed.
next put some duct tape over the sealed end b/c although it is factory sealed on, it still is the first end to pop off prematurely under the pressure of the ignited powder. plus it could hit someone. then wrap the whole casing in some duct tape, not to thick, maybe 2-3 layers.
(its sitting next to a 1oz batch of powder and that 1oz batch is enough for 3 of these using crayola markers)
Then you need to make a fuse hole in the middle using a screw driver or whatever you prefer.
(the duct tape isnt wrapped very nicely b/c i did this in a hurry)
next take your fuse and put it in the hole and secure it if you want with hot glue or whatever
then pour in the flash powder and cap the end with a balled up piece of paper towel and a generous amount of hot glue.
then secure the hot glued end with duct tape as well to make a nice seal
there is the final product done in about 5 mins. these are EXTREMELY powerful so please be careful. for ignition we use a homemade remote igniter which is pretty legit and lets us ignite 16 different fireworks on command
here is a vid we made today. the first one i just lit by hand and the second one we buried in his planter and lit it with the remote igniter. it launched dirt onto his second story roof and some ended up in his backyard. the video doesnt do justice to how loud these things really are. we go deaf for a few mins if we dont plug our ears and the first one set of multiple car alarms down my friends street. he has an intense decibel meter and we have max out with a reading of 120 decibels from about 5 meters away.

m friend just used his credit card to order a pound of it for like 30 bucks including shipping and tax. its a really good price b/c aluminum powder is the smallest part of the formula and a pound will last a us a LONG time. they dont require a license, you just cant buy an oxidizer and the aluminum or they will cancel it but we just needed aluminum powder so it wasnt a big deal.
we got the potassium nitrate by using stump remove and we found a 5 pound box of gardening sulfur for 6 bucks at a garden store by my house that has all sorts of hard to find gardening shit like chemicals. it could easily qualify as a chemical black market hahaha. they have a wall of only boxes of chemicals that are pretty pure, the sulfur is suppose to be an additive so it is like 95% i think it said
