Hi

This is my tutorial On PSP SLIM (PSP 2000) Modding/Softmoding/Custom Firmware

first Of all, just to let you alll know PSP moding is very old and some people already know
how to do this, and these types of tutorials can be found all of over the internet. But this is
my own, made from Scratch

Well Anyway, moving on.


Ul’e Need the following Items. (Some Optional)

1. 2 Battery’s (1 Spare, the 1st one is already in PSP) - (Both Need to Be Fully Charged)
2. Small Knife or sharp bladed Tool
3. Some Black tape, or other.
4. 2GIG MagicGate Memory Stick. (4 GIG 32, 64 Meg will not work for this)
5. Memory Card Reader. USB Cable (From PSP To PC) (Card Reader Optional)

Ok now to explain why you need a spare Battery. if you dont own what you call a "Pandora’s Battery"
im going to teach you how to Create one from a spare Battery. This process is Simple and will take
only 5 minutes.


Now, opeing the battery to create a Homemade Pandora’s battery can be tricky. so id advise you to be

careful.





Then Ul’e Need To Do this with the knife





Now get that Sharp Bladed Tool, (Knife, Razer) (Making sure the Battery Motherboard is facing you, with

the psp battery terminals Pointing towards you)





After uv’e made the changes. Close the battery carefully and tape it together. not to much tape though.

(That battery will now be a permanent Pandora’s Battery)


Now thats the hard bit over and done with. Now ul’e need to download this

and install it. PSP Grader will create the Custom Booter for the new Custom Firmware. without the PSP

Grader there is no easier way for you to Boot from The new firmware and install it.
Open PSP Grader Do the following in the picture bellow, You can get the 401.PBP File from
http://rapidshare.com/files/247089842/401_EBOOT_PSP_FOR_PSP_GRADER.rar.html





Now if uv’e recieved no errors, All is well. But id recomend Formatting your memory stick Via The PSP,

by going to "System Settings" --> Format Memory Stick.


now thats you’r "JigStick" Done. Jigstick is the memorys card’s nickname for when the Custom Bootware

is on the Stick (Like a Windows XP Boot CD)
now this is where you have to follow my instructions carefuly or you could make your PSP into a nice

looking Paper Weight. now before you even consider doing this. i stress to you that you charge the

battery before you install the firmware. if you battery dies through the install firmware. its like

rubbing an electro magnet over your 350 quid blackberry phone.

now, have your 2 batterys near by. take your Moded Battery. Push up on The "UP Arrow" of your PSP, keep

holding on it, then put your moded battery in. within 5-8 Seconds You should see the boot menu like the

picture bellow





Now, if you don’t see the boot menu. Do the same steps..

Remember, it’s (Push the UP Arrow, keep holding then put the battery in with the up arrow still being pushed)

if you see the meneu, all is good. what you will need to do, to make sure your pacific PSP wont

conflict with the Custom Firmware. Push "Test M33" once it boots up into the Test M33 Mode, browse

about. then shutdown the PSP VIA the Off button. Then repeat the process to Boot up into The Menu

Again, then choose "Install 4.01 M33" This stage is crucial. make sure the Battery does not fall out in

the process, You can put the Power Cable back in. use this option as an UPS (Uniterupted Power Suply).

Now after All is installed. it will ask for you to reboot. Do as instructed. now ul’e need to do a

network Update. if you dont own a Wifi Connection. the update isnt Fully inportant. i can provide you

with a local Copy of the 5.00 M33-6 (Latest Update Since Of June 09)

Don\\’t risk fucking up your battery with this, Just buy a Pandora battery from DealExtreme, It costs only $6.32 USD. (Free postage world wide!)
Battery works for Slim (2000) & Fat. Not sure about 3000.

right now I’m working on getting money for a connectivity kit for flashing my xbox 360’s lite-on drive(I am poor as fuck and can’t find a job)

I think I will make my own probe for reading the drive’s key, just because i am really poor and don’t want to spend the extra 20$
