me and my 3 friends decided to go and walk through the abandoned subway system in downtown rochester NY. we entered under the broad street bridge, just above the genesee river, if you go right, you will find what we like to call the "hobo hut". this is the place where ALL the hobos hang out and drink. there is a staircase, but at the top its all encased with concrete. if you go left, you will find lots of different trainways, that continue all over rochester. we went through there and kept walking to find a group of kids who were sitting around drinking, we talked to them, they appeared harmless and we invited them to go with us through the rest of the subway, it continues and u will find all sorts of cool things like docking stations, loading bays, lights. its cool too because if you like something on fire (which i suggest not doing because you are walking on mostly dust particles from whats left of the subway) but when the smoke appears, it stays in one spot from the no air current. i thought it was pretty cool. lots of stuff there, go check it out its lots of fun. BRING FLASHLIGHTS definatly, it is pitch black in there. a good idea would also to bring a crowbar, to get doors open. thanks for reading. |
