About Barack_Obama: I was raised by a single mother and my grandparents. They didn’t have much money, but they taught me values from the Kansas heartland where I grew up. I took out loans to put myself through school. After college, I worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed. I turned down lucrative job offers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. I joined a small law firm, taught constitutional law and, guided by my Christian faith, I’ve stayed active in my community. My wife, Michelle, and I are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
