My icons don’t work!

Close all programs. Press the Print Screen button. Open Paint. Click Edit--Paste, or press Ctrl-V. The picture of the desktop, including the background, and all the icons, will appear. Save it. Close Paint. Go back to the real desktop. Delete all the icons, or drag them to the Recycle Bin. Right-click the desktop, click Properties. Click the Background tab, if necessary. Remember the file you made of the desktop? Set that as Background. Click OK. Watch as the mark keeps double-clicking on the "icons," but they don’t do anything, ’cause they’re just background images!
