Simple but effective: There was a public park and a railroad right-of-way next to school. I’d go to the park, swipe steel trash cans, put them on the tracks, and watch the mayhem. Sometimes, the train would roll the trash can for a mile, resulting in a perfectly round wad of steel, with the 2 wire handles still protruding from the sides!
