This is not my idea, but it is good and it works really well.

First, you will need to buy a few sheets of plywood and about 10 bags of quick dry cement.

Then create a ’shelf’ type thing out of plywood in front of there door, all it really takes is three sheets of plywood, one out from the left one out from the right and one connecting the ends of the left and right ones. it is hard to explain.

the mix up your cement, pour it into your plywood shelf and let dry for however long your #*@!ty cement takes. do this right after they leave for work/school for best results.

after it dries, remove the wood and all that is left is a towering cement wall in front of their door.
