Apr 26, 2009 9:09 pm - Going away for a week + New Egg ’m leaving tomorrow to go spend 5 days with my dad. I’ll be back on Friday but leaving again on saturday early evening to go for a weekend away getting pissed with some friends. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get on much when I’m visiting my dad, he’s working away from home for a couple of months and I’m not sure if he has net access where he is just now. Apr 24, 2009 10:51 pm - Goodbye, Eggs! I’ve just said goodbye to 23 of my eggs. They were from "back in the day" when nobody cared about spelling/grammer/layout/l ngth/pictures. A couple of them I did put a fair bit of effort into, but looking back at them now and comparing them to todays standards made me cringe. And there were plenty with barely any effort at all, just a paragraph of text with no pictures and not explained well at all (which was very commonplace back then). If they were posted today I would be ripped to shreds for them. I did’t want newbies reading my rubbish old eggs and thinking that it’s ok to post eggs of a similar standard. Rotteneggs has changed a lot in the past 4-5 years (as have I!) and the egg standards are much, much higher. I don’t want my crappy old eggs lowering the bar for what new members think is acceptable on RottenEggs. Mar 11, 2009 10:20 am - Today! (TL:DR? Scroll to the bottom bold for the main point in all this) My previous blog entry, written yesterday, titled tomorrow, was my expectations of today. Here’s what happened, with a surprising twist! So, lunch was good with the work crowd, and then up to the dentist. Now, this is where it starts to deviate from what I thought would happen. After sitting in the waiting room for 30 mins, the dental nurse walks past (she’s one of my best mates) and she goes "Coopz, you’re not here for us are you? You’re not due in for 2 more weeks!" So there was big confusion, and I had to phone my mum to come pick me up and take me home. It turns out it was an admin error but as my appointment wasn’t on the system and they didnt have the time to fit me in I had to go home. I had just got in, rolled a joint and lit it, when the phone went. They had a last minute cancellation, did I want to go back? Yeah, partly to get it all over and done with, and partly to see the hot nurse (different nurse) who had been over chatting me up when I was in waiting first time! (the dental clinic is in the little local hospital 2 minutes from my house, in case you’re confused.) So I got there, got my tooth yanked out and they decided they might as well do a filling while they were at it, and that was that, all fine, no worries. Then on my way out, the hot (and did I mention older?) nurse just like appeared out of nowhere and started chatting to me and walking along with me. With half my face numb and feeling like it was twice the size of normal, I felt like a right fucking spazz talking to her. She opened the doors for me - crutch spazz too here remember! - I could have got them myself but I thought it was nice of her, and nice to get to talk to her a bit more. She even took the lift (elevator) down to the ground floor with me! But it turned out she had a hidden agenda... If you know what I mean ;) I think it’s the first time I’ve ever kissed someone when I’ve had 1 side of my face, mouth, and tongue totally numb, it felt wierd but good, and she said it was perfect! So that was something totally unexpected and unpredictable from today. I always knew she had the hots for me but didnt think anything would ever really happen past flirting! I’ve only ever seen her a few times before and never really properly spoken apart from through texting. Result! TL;DR?? Me + Hot Nurse + Hospital Elevevator = Happy Good Time Fun! Ma 10, 2009 10:18 pm - Tomorrow Well, I’m bored so thought I’d make a proper blog entry. It is 5:06am and I have to get up in just over 5 hours to get myself ready, I’m going to lunch with the people from my work. I’m still off on the sick due to my leg but I was in seeing them today and they invited me to join them. I thought why the hell not, it will be kinda nice. On a sidenote about being there today, my work is right in the town center, and a couple of my mates were in the square with there motorbikes, just like we used to hang out there between rides back in summer before my accident. So I went over and hung out for a bit before they went for their run. It was so good to be sitting back there in our usual spot, enjoying the sun (hasn’t been out in 6 months! lol) and talking about bikes and stuff, just like we used to in the good old days before I broke my leg. The friend that I sold my wrecked bike to came in, with the bike which he has repaired and put back on the road. It was only the 3rd or 4th time I’ve seen it since the accident, and first time I’vee seen it since he decided to buy it and fix it up. It was so good to see it again, restored to nearly as good as it was before the accident. But it made me sad, because I loved that bike and seeing him blast away on it made me feel like there was a chain attatched from the bike to my heart, and that as it left it tore my heart out of my chest. Well, lol, that’s a bit strong, but it really was saddening. :’( But good to see it again at the same time. And good to be out like old times. Some sucky news is that tomorrow after lunch, I have the dentist. I’m getting a tooth out (near the back) and a filling, which sucks. But it’s kinda good cause the pain has been driving me mad recently. It’ll just kick in, normally when I’m trying to sleep, and it’s pretty damn sore. After the dentist I should hopefully be hanging out with my best mate who is back from college for a week, not seen him in a while so that should be good. I’m also supposed to phone the hospital tomorrow, and fill in some paperwork, but that’ll probably be put off for another day, as usual! Add a Reply

I hate the way that your "points earned today" doesn’t get reset till like halfway through the day, and also the fact that you don’t get your interest till them either. I’m still waiting to get yesterdays interest even though it is nearly 5am RE time. There are two reasons I care. Mainly, because my next forum post will be my 3333th. And if I recieved the interest due to me, I would have like 333333 points (Well, I’d have to donate a couple of thousand to a group, but I’d do it just to have all 3s.)
