In louisville kentuck their is an abondoned tiberculosis hospital that many people say is haunted. the current owner of the property is saving it for historical value. Their is a permanent guard shack near by and security does frequent check of the property looking for kids trying to break in. the first time we tried to get in we realized that it was impossible to get in with just a crowbar because all of the windows and doors are boarded, locked and patched with bars and fencing. i was able to get on the side stairs with some james bond type shit, and i got on the roof but that was it. So me and 5 other people came back prepared, we brought a crowbar a huge bolt cutter and a portable torch thingy.
on the way up the long path we ran into a random group of kids that were also there to break in. they were hiding because they saw guards patrolling an hour earlier. it was now 1:00 am so we decided to give it a try. their was now about 14 of us about to try and break in. the bars were still to strong for the bolt cutter and the torch to break. so i climed up the stairs again and went in through an open wooden plywood door. we had to lift up the girls onto the first platform and we went in on the second floor.
everybody was getting really freaked out, especially when we found a room with a wooden door and a pad lock on it(the only door on any room). one kid urged us not to try and get in because he said "you will upset her" referring to a ghost or something, he was really wierd. well everybody got scared and decided to leave because they said they were hearing noises behind them.i thikit was because i cut the padlock off the door for a keep sake. so it was jst me and 1 friend left in the hospital with one red lense flash light and some boltcutters. after they all left we found out what the noise was, it was bats, lots of them. we had to duck as the bats flew by us, it was scary as hell.
we walked threw the halls checking all the rooms trying to be quiet in case security was lerking. we found a bathroom with mud and broken things in the bathtubs, it was really freaky. when we got to the end of the hall we found a solid steal door with a brand new padlock on it. i figured it was the door to the body chute! yes the body chute, so many people died in the hospital that they had to make an easy way to get rid of the bodies, i have heard many stories of the chute.
i decided to cut the padlock on the door. when i did it was very loud, it echoed threw the whole building. we got scared and walked to the window to see if anybody was outside and we saw the gaurd trailor right below us with the lights on. we watched it for a minute to see if he heard us. all the sudden he came out with a flashlight and pointed it our way, i ducked just in time for the light to go over my head.
we took off running down the hall as fast as we could, and i hear my friend yell "ow fuck". one of the bats flew into his face and hit him. we got to the stairs and jumped off. the guard saw us running and gave chase while yelling "stop". we got to the path and jumped into the woods. i rolled down the hill in an attemp to get away because the forest was so thick. then we hid fro a min or so and saw a car drive down the road honking his horn(the guard).
we waited for a while and left the place. something funny that happend- we went to thorntons gasstation to clean up,i has scratches and blood and mud on me. well a cop came in and saw my friend, he was like "what the hell happend to you?" he told him we were playing football. yeah, at 3:30 in the morning.

Dec 08, 2004 2:33 pm - . you can’t take pics inside. the flash might get you caught. we had to use a redlight flashlight so they couldnt see that. the side windows are huge and open to the air. but if you want pics just type in waverly hills into google, it was on that show worlds scaries places. and who cares about spelling?

Dec 08, 2004 4:08 pm - no that is from a website. it was night when i went there. some people take tours for like 50$ but they only show you the second floor and it’s during the day. but we only got to see the second floor also, next time im goin threw the whole place, but very quietly.
Dec 14, 2004 2:33 am - so eggcelent is the ass who gave this a bad rating huh? quit being sarcastic ass because i know it was you. go to waverly hills and see if you dont get busted. i guarentee you wouldn’t have made it past the guards and got in that place. the story i told wasn’t even half of my experiance with waverly hills. who ever gave me a bad rating is an asshole because i’m the only person to ever have something cool happen while exploring places and be able to tell it in a interesting way.

Feb 17, 2005 4:37 pm - there is a place around my area called Henryton Hospital, its in the middle of the woods. Its crazy, the TB Hospitals, they remind me of concentration camps. They sent them out in the middle of no where to let the disease die with them
May 25, 2005 8:19 pm - I’ve heard of that place. I read a story there online that some haunting investigator put up and it had pics. Things like light-bulbs visible and turned on when there’s no electricity in the place, I’ll tell you something KeiserSosay, you’re damn brave! 5* just cos I’d never have the cohones to go near the place even in daylight never mind at night. Respect.
Oct 07, 2005 9:31 am - the hospital had a highest deathrate in the country, because it was so low in a vally, colsus bacteria or something like that was a great breeding ground, so it infected so many pople
