me and my brother had a fun day when we stumbled across a pack of my old model rocket engines.
--make a super bottle rocket--
1. tape a stick to a model rocket engine (we used shrimp kabob sticks)
2.put a green bottle rocket wick in the hole end of the rocket.(you can just pull them out) I found that they seemed to stay in just fine and never failed to light the rocket.
3.for extra fun,and lots of extra danger. add a small paper airplane to the rocket(tape it down good)
4.stick in bottle light wick and get far away.
--it reacts differently every time because the plane sends it different ways. one time it did a few flips in the air and flew towards the ground near us. after that we learned to take cover when lighting it off. the rocket will go higher, faster and farther than any bottle rocket.
if you want you can tape an m/80 or something to the top because the rocket burns all the way through and it should light the wick.
-just be careful because the sparks that come out are much bigger than normal bottle rockets. be prepared to dodge that sucker if it has a paper plane on it!
Feb 20, 2005 3:12 pm - me and my friends bought 3 e rocket engines and took them to a park at night, the first to we lit on the ground but the third one we put on that swirly slide thing and it was awesome(best to do at night)
Mar 21, 2005 7:19 pm - LOL. they are called bottle rockets because you are supposed to put the stick in a bottle. but the engines might be to heavy, use a tube or pole or something.
Apr 28, 2005 10:01 pm - me and my freand took a rocket put it facing up on a pole lit it off electricly it shot up in the air then then went down and was shooting like 4 feet above the ground straight at my freand then he jumped on the groung right before it would of hit him and it past like 3 feet over his head he was so freaked out it was funny as hell

Dec 24, 2005 9:26 pm - tis preety good i put a cylynder toilet roll shape round the engine stuck some wings on t put a lil cone at the top launched it and it broke my naighbours window do be advised were goggles mate
Jan 22, 2006 4:09 pm - You can make a rocket (I did) like the one in the picture above. Mine was 2 feet long and left a crater you could sleep in! just make black powder with 20% less KNO3 and you have a custom rocket!

so wat type of paper airplane do u guys use??
i taped one to a plane from a japanese-american site and it flew straight 4 about twenty feet then it started burning itself and it flew into a car...next time ill use more recovery wadding lol 5*****
Nov 12, 2006 8:34 am - what class were the rockets cause ive done that with a pine wood derby car and a class d rockets ive also attached class A-8 to alot of stuff but never something as small as a paper plane it sounds lame you should experiment with attaching it to other stuff and then when the actual engine burns out and the thing that comes out the front that would push out the parachute goes it would light something else and make an explosion in the air or far away
May 01, 2007 1:31 am - omg i was messing around with one of those stupid fireworks that spin on like a pole of some kind, and i was like, "hey, why dont we ramp it up a bit?" and we put a D engine on the end, lit it, and it made ONE WHOLE REVOLUTION before flying off and making this wicked sound, (almost like the sound a helicopter makes, the thumpthumpthump, but more whiney,) it went like 10 yards and then went into some grass, where it remains to this day lol

and it burned her sofa
it was fun ass hell
and whats funnier is that they blamed her neighbor because he was lighting normal rockets oh his back yard
