Jan 01, 2005 10:11 am - Go to this site, or perhaps this site, and download radio station IDs and jingles. These are handy for calling people and telling them they’ve won a contest held by some radio station. Download the MP3 files, and chop them up if necessary. "Kansas City’s number one hit music station, (tempo slows) KDWB!", that sort of thing. Rehearse your phony phone call with appropriate ID’s, transitions, jingles, etc. For instance, tell them they’ve won a huge sum of money, and to come to the station to pick it up, but they must be wearing a green hat. Or, simply tell them they’ve won something cheap, like a coffee mug, because people will do ANYHTING for a cheap piece of crap with a radio station callsign on it. See if your prank makes the news; it very well might.
