first buy some poppers or party poppers from the local ice cream truck, or a party supplies store, or wherever you can get them.
then line them up in a street so when cars run over them they pop. you can get the best reactions from people in convertables. it’s great. sometimes people think their getting shot at. once i did it and a person screamed "what the hell". Its a really fun small prank

its fun to throw them at runners from your window make the window barley open or closethe curtains so they dont know where it came from (funny as hell)
