One means of completely erasing a computer’s hard drive is to surround the tower/processor with magnets (preferably strong ones!). Leave them there for as long a period as possible, then remove them and destroy all evidence of your involvement and/or pin the blame on someone else you don’t like by dumping the magnets in their possession without their knowledge. Note: this completely screws the person whose computer’s hard driv you destroy. make sure the person really deserves it before doing it (and DON’T GET CAUGHT!!!)

Or do what they did on Tech TV. Strap rocket engines to it, aim for the ocean, and fire. A lot of people know about the magnet trick, but it does not guarentee deletion of everything.
