This isn’t one of those stupid ping pong ball bomb things. The basic idea is a small flare, or roman candle. Take a couple of pices of paper and roll them around a pencil tight, only about 1 1/2 inches long. Tape the paper good. Then tape of one end closed. Now take about 80 mathches, and use pliers to smash the heads into pieces. Fill the paper tube with the pieces, and pack them down tight. A wick can be added, or just light the top. It works best if the match pieces are crushed into a fine dust, because they can be compacted better.

I make these all the time. It’s kind of stupid but you can get a big boom if you use a pen for the tube. The ones I use are staples comfort stic. You get the match powder and mix it with roll cap powder with a 1:1 ratio. Then you have a fairly powerful $0.50 bomb. A fun thing to do is aim them at people.
