Hey, kids! I have a special surprise for all of you! I will teach all of you how to make your very own Firestarter. All it is a mixture of substances that, when combined, will form a very useful material. I’ll tell you how to make and package this wonderful thing, and some of its useful applications.

First of all, you’ll need to get the materials. First are the chemicals. It really isn’t that complicated, just napalm and nitrous peroxide. The first you can easily make at home, but the second you’ll have to shop around for. You can probably find it on a chemistry website, but I’m not sure of my spelling. You should carefully mix the two in the container you got the nitrous in. It should be about 1 part nitrous to 10 parts napalm. The nitrous peroxide ignites upon contact with the air, and the napalm keeps it lit; in other words, the perfect recipe fro a masterpiece! Then you need gelatine capsules. If you’re just making a few, you can get some pills and open them up to get the capsules. You can buy the empty shells in bulk, but you can’t get small amounts that way. Besides that, all you’ll need are "firing pins", just needles. Just stick em’ in like how I tell you in the de5cription.

SURVIVAL TOOL: It’s primary application. You should stick 2 needles though it, going though it’s width on the two separate shells. If you want to light a bonfire when you’re out hiking, but you don’t have a lighter or matches, don’t worry! Simply build a pile of sticks, and get out a Firestarter. Holding it by the ends, quickly pull out the pins. It will create a small, intense blue gas-like jet of flame that will last for about 20 seconds before melting the rest of the pill and bursting into flame. They will last for a good 5 minutes before going out. Voila! Your bonfire is ready, sir. If you don’t have any wood fuel, for example if you’re hiking in the high mountains, you can cook food or melt snow for water with a couple of these babies.

TOYS: Although not made for this, they can still be pretty fun! If you quickly poke holes in the upper-right and lower-left areas of a Firestarter that don’t go all the way through, if you drop it on a table or in the water, it will rapidly spin in a tight little circle for a few minutes! If you put a single pin in the tip of a FS (Firestarter), you can make a little "speedboat" that will zip across the water at a surprising speed. You can even make little frameworks out of toothpicks and attach these as "engines" and "flamethrowers" to have little battles. You can even make rockets by rolling up paper into a rocket shape, sticking an FS into the end and cutting half of it off.

BLOWTORCH: If you stick a single pin into the tip of an FS and build a temporary "shield" out of tin foil to go around it, except for where the pin is, you can build a blowtorch to solder metal if you’re in a pinch. I have a "pro" version made of a section a copper piping that was been crimped at one end so that there’s only space for the needle, and an un-screwable end cap on the other. I pull the pin on one, use it for touch-up jobs on the Warboats, and when it’s done I drop in another.

SELF-DEFENCE TOOL: Good for the woman who feels vulnerable walking to her car in the evening. Have an FS in your pocket or on a string, so if you are assaulted, you can light it and throw it at him. It will scare him, more than anything.

SLINGSHOT AMMO: Enough said.
