Hi, y’all. Today, I’m gonna teach you how to make and operate your very own Panzerfaust one-time rocket launcher! But first, a little background info. The Germans in WWII used the Panzerfaust from early 1943 until the war’s ending in 1945. They were a deceivingly simple weapon, but were highly effective and it is rumoured that an Allied soldier with a Bazooka would gladly trade it in for a Panzerfaust. They were cheap to manufacture at the modern equivalent of about $15.00. Compare that to the cost of the average infantry rifle, which costed $60.00 to make! However, they did have their drawbacks. For a rocket weapon, its explosion power was low. It was very inaccurate, effective at only a max. of 100 metres, and the projectile was slow-moving so that the target could easily get out of it’s way. But enough of this talk; let’s get on to the actual instructions!

First, you’ll need to get the materials. You’ll need a long piece of steel piping about 1 1/2 inches wide, and a semicircle end cap for it. A bit of sheet metal, about 5 mm thick, is also on the bill. Screw the end cap onto one end of the pipe. Cut a small rectangle out of the metal. Make it about as long as your hand, so you can properly grasp it, and about 1/2 an inch thick. Screw it on, near the front of the tube, so it acts like a hinge. Drill a small hole in front of the handle. Right over it, weld the sparking bit of a lighter, so it will project sparks into the hole when triggered. You can see where I’m going with this, right? Tie a small length of string from the handle to the lighter trigger. Now, you just have to attach simple crosshairs, and you’re done the main body! Now, we’re gonna build the actual rocket. First, you’re gonna need to make the projectile head. It should be roughly egg-shaped, but for realism you can make it out of separate panels for that "turtle-shell" appearance. Leave a hole in one end that is an inch in diameter. Fill up the entire body with black powder or any other homegrown stuff like that. Glue a small piece of paper over the hole so that it will not spill out. Now get a pipe that is a couple of inches shorter than the main body. Weld it over the hole, so that the two would connect if it were not for the paper. Now you’re going to need to do a little bit of mixing and chemistry, but it’s worth it. You’re going to want a good amount of BP, and a couple of grams of BP inhibitor. You can get this at fireworks stores, and what it does is slow down the burning of BP. You’re going to want to mix about 1 part inhibitor to 25 parts BP. Pour this down the projectile tube, and put some paper over the end. Stick a fuse through the paper that is as long as the main Panzerfaust body. Glue the fuse onto the paper so it will not come out. Now put the projectile into the main body, but keep a hold of the fuse. Tape the end of it above the hole where the sparks will go. Simply simply pulling the lever operates the Panzerfaust. It will light the fuse, which will ignite the "rocket fuel" in the tube part of the projectile, and will go streaking away. It is particularly effective against vehicles because of its limited yet focused explosion range. Have fun!
