This still belongs to defiler, i am just adding an update to the idea.
Use a power supply that can go in reverse so that when one nail is covered i rust/crap, you reverse the power and the bubbeling action will move from the positive nail to the negative nail which is covered in rust.
The bubbeling action should flake the rust off and then you can use the positive nail as the negative nail.
This means that you can make more rust with two nails and more rust can be produced in one "cycle".

The nail that bubbles is the one that gets rust.

wasn’t like that for me.
The bubbleing nail stayed clean while the negative nail gao coated by this clear stuff and after 5 hours it was half the diameter of the bubbleing one.
Mabye my way was different i guess.

or, go to an OLD OLD house , and sand the rust of all the appliences,or buy a small brick of iron, and use coarse(80-100 grit) sandpaper, and sand it over a plate get it wet and leave it in the sun, all the sanded particles turn to rust.
