By reading this you are making a contract that i will not be held responsible for your mistakes, this is for informational purpose only and not to be constructed.
I guess "trustowrthy" pipebomb is an oxymoron, but hers one i find works well and will be very powerfull if you follow directions.
You will need:
- 2 or 3 inch pvc (i cant stress enough, use pvc, it will shard and do more damage than ABS pipe.)
- end caps for the pvc pipe (depending on what size pipe you chose)
- black powder or flash powder. (you cant use gas, it doesnt have its own oxygene supply, you will need some type of pyrotechnic composition, even green powder will work (which is a basic black powder, accept not ball milled)ill describe this farther later.
- fuse
- pvc glue
- drill
- metal shrapnel (twisted tin can pieces, screws, nails all work great)
OK, now before i get started on building it, heres how you make flash powder or black powder.
BLACK POWDER-
you will need potassium nitrate (used to be sold as stump remover, not sure if it still is. charcoal or carbon, which is sold as those fish tank filters. and sulfur which u can get for dusting your lawn for bugs and junk.
sulfur and carbon get be bought at wal mart, and maybe stump remover too.
take your three ingredients and grind them all into fine powder (all seperated, dont mix them then grind them) now once there all fine powdered, put them in a ball mill, (ONLY USE LEAD MEDIA, which is of course the balls that crush the powder, lead is completely non sparking, so duh, u dont want to die) and make sure they are seperately put in one at a time. Let each one go for two hours or so (depending how fast your ball mill turns.)
after each one has finished add them togeather carefully. first, use a water spray bottle to dapen your three materials, and then mix them, let them ball mill for 4 to 5 hours once again depending on how fast the mill goes (stopping every half hour or so to check to see if the powder is still wet enough.)
Once your powder is all done and nice and fine, your set and make sure you store it in a coffe can or soemthing that doesnt create static, this will keep you from once again DYING.
Green powder-
Do basically the same thing that you did with black powder but this is for people who cant get there hands on a ball mill. so do it exactly what i said with black powder accept your going to want to get the finest grade matarials you can, use a cofee grinder to grind each matarial seperately. (I advise cleaning it out after each seperate matarial, so that they dont mix and cause an explosion.) of course you will also want to keep them damp for this too.
now once u have powdered each seperate chemical, mix them togeather in a ceramic bowl (like a mortar and pestle.) now grind them a little, making sure there still VERY VERY damp, this is critical in staying alive. now you can run the mixture through a sift or however that is spelled to break it up a bit if u want, and let it dry for several days.
Flash powder
This is by far the easiest to make but much more dangerous, black powder is just sensitive to static and heat, but flash powder is sensitive to heat, static, friction, and impact. so its quite unstable, so i advise not to make too much at a time, but of course this stuff is more powerfull than black powder, but should never be used in place of black powder in mortars for the simple fact that flash powder wont "lift" things, it fragments them, so its very good for pipe bombs, but can cause serious injury.
Now back to making it, you will need nothing more than either potassium nitrate OR potassium pechlorate, and magnesium, which needs to be powdered. (a dremel will work for this or any other electric sanding type tool.) powder your magnesium and grind your potassium nitrate/pechlorate into fine powder, then mix them togeather by laying them on seperate sides of a sheet of news paper and lifting the corners to shift them slightly around and mix them, this should keep them stable, now carefull take your news paper and curve it into a U shape and pour the flash powder into a can, or bottle that they use for per5cription drugs.
YOU DONT want this stuff exploding so have a great deal of respect for it.
BUILDING YOUR PIPE BOMB.
you will need to take your piece of PVC which if using 2 inch diametre pipe, should be about 4 inches long, and if using 3 inch pipe, should be 6 inches long. glue one of the end caps on, MAKING SURE you ALWAYS use the glue specified for that type of pipe, because it bonds to two pieces of plastic by melting it and fusing them, making ultimite strength and hold. now use a drill bit to drill a small hole in one end cap (juding by the size of the fuse, so it just barely fits through.
Now using a hot melt glue gun put enough glue around the fuse to keep it nicely in place (MAKE SURE the fuse is long enough to give u at least 20 seconds to get as far away from this as possible, its extremely dangerous, judge your fuse by testing an inch or 2 by lighting it and using a watch or just count to see how many seconds it burns for.
Now what you will do is fill the bottom with one inch of flash powder for a 3 inch pipe, and half inch for 2 inch pipe, then pour in your shrapnel, this should leave you at a half way mark on your pipe, and your shrapnel will be centred in the pipe, the next half of the pipe will be all black powder (or flash powder depending what you used.) now use some cooking oil amd lubricate the inside of the end cap and the outside of the pipe so it wont be hard to get on because if it is then you could cause an explosion which could be lethal. just lubricate each at the ends so the very insdide can be glued very well and the more glue the stronger the hold, = more powerfull explosion.
After the end cap has been placed on it, let it dry for at least an hour or two. Then its good to use. Be very carefull, and have fun. |
