This may be yet another dumb egg but after a year of work i have found this out.
There are 3 kinds of security tag types:
-sticker
-magnet
-embedded

-The sticker
This tag attaches to he merchandise and when properly attached, when it is removed the transmitter and the antenna which is in a square shape stay on the merchandise while the sticher comes off.

-The magnet
These look like rectangular stickers made of plastic and the centre is raised to hold the two strips in it. These stichers can easily be removed.

-embedded
These are the latest design to fight shoplifting.
When the merchandise is packed, it has the tag installed inside the merchandise and is almost impossible to remove. it is mostly used in clothing, small electronics and some toys.

all three types of tags are disabled by a degauser atht eh front of the store. when the tag goes over the unit, it gives off a beep and a strong magnetic field destroys the tag but not the merchandise.

-Double tagging
If you think you removed the tag, you might be wrong.
When toys r us released the JUICE BOX, they installed a sticker tag on the outside of the box and the packager installed a magnetic tag inside the box.
Many techniques do not work with todays systems but if you have the right equipment and are smart enough, you might be able to still leave with that camera you always wanted or that dvd that you can’t afford.

GOOD LUCK!!

I don’t care about eggs.

Sensormatic makes a detacher gun call the UltraMax Supertag Detacher. It works by pushing in the grip which makes a metal hook piece inserts into a tag.

The metal hook piece alone detaches the tag. Without the hook the gun is useless. Without the Gun the hook is DEFINATELY NOT useless.

The hook is used by most booster level shoplifters.
It can remove sensor tags in less than 2 seconds - silently. It is about two inches making it concealable.

The hook is the ULTIMATE tool.

The tool is better than the gun. It actually IS the detacher gun. All the gun does is make a hook shaped piece of metal insert into a sensor tag. I am selling THAT hook piece. It works without the gun guranteed! This pops the tags used at Abercrombie, PacSun, Hollister, Eddie Bauer, Victorias Secret, Marshall fields, Boston Store, Express, Limited, Gap, etc.

It costs $55 USD.

All you do is stick the hook into the hole of the sensor tag. The force required is equivalent to the force needed to unlock a car.

The type of tags are Sensormatic UltraMax Supertags (Supertag, supertag mini, supertag alarm, supertag II, etc.)

Most shoplifters use this tool. They used to buy the tool seperately until The companies stopped selling them to indviduals (companies and retailers only). OR shoplifters would buy a $200 detacher gun and take the hook out neways.

The gun is not as good. It’s big, makes a click noise, and has an internal sensor tag in it.

the hook is silent, small, and portable.

You couldn’t just take the detacher gun and detach tags in front of the people. You would resort to using the changing rooms which is no good (you can’t take more than 10 items). With the hook you can remove the tags on the floor.

I don’t care about eggs or points.

About the embedded tags, where and how are they used on clothing? I understand how they are used in electronics etc. Also you should have explained hard clothes tags.
