First you need to have the following:
20 oz. to 1 Liter bottle of soda, Try for one as carbonated as possible.

Pixy Stix- You can get these at any gasoline station or quick stop.

A unsuspecting friend

Ok first you have to do the following in under 2 minutes or so or it won’t work.

Open the soda and take the pack of pixy stix, break them in half and pour them in. Quickly put the cap back on or hand the unsuspecting friend the soda and offer them a drink. In about 3-7 seconds the soda will fizz up and start pouring out of the bottle. It will continue until you choke it of oxygen.

Yeah any sugar-like product should work. My friends and I tried to get a bottle to explode by this method but as I predicted it needs oxygen and more pressure.
