Ok, let me start off by saying that i didnt just hear this from friends and stuff, i got it from the people who make security stuff’s website....so its all accurate. and i didnt copy this from anywhere, and go ahead and rate this however u want, or leave bad comments, cuz i really dont give a shit about if u like me or if i have egg points.
1.) security gates (the things that sound alarm when you walk through them with stolen shit)
security gates these days are alot smaller than they were just a few years ago. As you walk into some stores, for example the apple store, you do not see security gates. That doesnt mean they dont have them. Some gates are installed in the floor or in the door frame. The only reason for this is so that the store’s appearance looks better.
2.) Alarm Tags
Alarm tags have advaced as well. While there are mostly just those old beige ones that we are all used to, there are also newer ones. Some of the newer ones have alarms installed so that if you try to break them, they go off very loud. But the new alarm ones are easy to spot, cuz they got a speaker on them. Some other newer ones have signals that can be detected through tin-foil.
3.) Ink Tags
Yeah, these are not very high tech, but are pretty hard to remove without the right thing. I have heard that one of the removal methods is to stick the clothes with the ink tag in the freezer until the ink freezes, then take a hammer to it. Some ink tags have an un-freezable ink...so freezing them is out of the picture.
Tag Removers You can buy these online for like $30 (on ebay and reconditioned). It can be hard to steal one of these from a store, cuz they are usually either tied to the checkout stand. If they arent tied down, then they might have a built in thing that makes the alarm go off if you leave the store with it.
I dont know how to remove tags without like a hammer(kinda obvious if u go about smashing stuff in the store), or a tag remover (im gonna buy one soon). If you know a way to remove them, message me or something. the only reason that i posted this was for those of you who were gonna steal something from an "un-gated" store, or steal a tag remover.

also you could freeze n smash, you can get aerosol packs of liquid nitrogen (doctors use it ) you could probalby buy it online. it would freeze even non- freezable ink, make the plastic brittle and would probably make loxks brittle as well
Aug 31, 2005 12:38 pm - I’m not sure what’s up with the ink tags. Twice I bought something from a clothing store and left only to discover that they forgot to remove the ink tag. I just used my leatherman to slowly pull out it apart and I’ve never busted the glass cartidge. Maybe I was just lucky though.
Dec 15, 2006 1:06 pm - how to take off the tags i use a pair of needle nose plyers. you take the tag thats about 3 inches long with a round tag on the back. you take the plyers put it under the round tag on the back of the clothes hold the 3 inch long tag itself with your hand and rip in the opposite direction. i can get them off in 30 seconds or so.
Apr 24, 2008 10:46 am - All of this is true. The "siren tags" (which is what I call the security tags that make the loud noise when snipped) can be disabled fairly easy. I highly suggest that any thief has a bag in his car with the necessary items -- among them should be a multi-tool (tool with plyers, wire cutters, knife, etc). I take the plyers and, with extreme force and suddeness, crunchatize the "siren" portion of the security tag. Then clipping it doesn’t really make much noise :P

aersol cans are not a bad idea. i suggest anything compressed with co2. Simply tilt it upside down and spray making sure that your hands are out of the way. You WILL NOT be able to find liquid nitrogen spray bottles unfortunately. These are VERY expensive and illegal.
