Please help me! I installed a new hard drive on my computer yesterday, and as soon as I turned it on today I got a plethora of spam flashing on my screen. I tried to run adaware (SE personal) and halfway through my computer crashed.
After taking out the new hard drive the spam i still here and I’m getting a crapload of error messages.
HELP!!!

Yea i basically "PwNdiZZLed" myself.....im sure that the harddrive had spam in it....it was from my neighbor’s computer which he was getting rid off.
I just need help with getting rid of the shit it put onto my current hard drive.

I recommend re-format, thats the first thing to do when buying a used drive.

reformat is the only true effective way, or start in safemode, run lots of hijackthis scans, adaware scans, and all other anti-spam scans.

Actually. if you just format it it should be OK. I believe you can do that while it’’s connected inside your PC with windows running.
And make SURE you put it as a SLAVE drive, that way things CAN’T automatically execute without being clicked.
