Ok so i just got a job at target and i found out that they have a "no chase policy" wich means if u steal sumthing and make it out a door if someone follows you out side they get fired all they can do is call the copsand if your not a complete dutchbag you will beable to get home or out of policia contact just thought this would help someone.
P.S. This is a franchise policy not a store policy.

so pretty much if you go take a really expensive nice item you dont even have to be descrete about taking it cause if you make it to the door tehy cant chace you?

the security guards are the ones who will chase you.

That’s because, if you chase someone out the door, and you are just a bagger at target. What happens if the person kills you? Your undertaker or parents or twatever can sue them.
The second you leave the door to chase them, the second your employment is terminated. Severing their liability to you.

no security gaurds are emmploies of target and so they are there to enforce rules and shit like 2 months ago a security gaurd chased after a guy and got fired its beacuasethe compony has no prof of what the emmploy did to the theif out of the store so the theif could have triped and broke a rib and in court he could the the emmploye tackled him or kicked him and target would have no proof
