i found a huge cooler of beers smirnoff, and a plentiful of other alcoholic beverages. it was from a party years ago, and i guess my parents forgot to get rid of them. but would the alcohol be expired?

It should say right on the bottle how long the shelf life of the beer is good for.
Crack one open and take a drink man.

I once consumed beer that was 10 years old. It was Lone Star, brewed by G. Heilman in San Antonio, Texas, and was purchased by my grandparents on a trip to Texas 10 years earlier. It was a bit bitter and metallic tasting, but it may have been made that way.
If the beer had been in bottles instead of aluminum cans, the metallic taste wouldn’t have happened. Always store your beer in a dark place, like a closet.
An opened beer is good for about 30 minutes.

Even after an off topc post, this topic stayed on topic. Amazing!
If only what you found was wine.

My dad had like fifty unopened limited edition harley davidson beers from 1987 in the basement. He’s threw most of them out like a month ago, but theres still like ten of them left. I have no idea what he plans on doing with them.
