Well i was gona ask for an external hard drive for christmas, but i hardly know anything about them.

First of all i wanted to know if its just like a reguler hard drive, like could i just basically put my whole username on the hard drive and then just take the hard drive wherever i go and basically have my username with all my programs and all my documents and even all my like favorites on mozilla firefox?

I also tried looking them up on google but theres all this comlicated shit that i dont understand like for example

RPM’s are how fast the hard disk spins and the faster it spins, the faster it reads and writes usually. Since I don’t have to explain GBs, that’s about all I know.
