No,theres a diffrence between hardcore and emo.
hardcore came out of 70’s and 80’s punk and is more harder and faster than punk .
Emo/pop music was formed as a alternative genre hardcore punk,they sing about relationships,crappy stuff and there best/worse days.
if you listen to Bad Brains/Gang Green/For The Worse which is hardcore its verry diffrent than Fallout Boy or Hawthorne Heights.
