the .303 i dont know a damn thing about, but the 30-30 is a nice gun been arownd for a LONG time, and its really good for hunting in brush and thick woods. and a hand gun TONS of them, what brand you looking at? what cal? if you just want it for target id get a really nice .22 hand gun and that has CHEAP! ammo and its easy on your hands and arms to shoot and its not loud
