So, I’m sure most of you know what pirating is and that it’s pretty much illegal.. But I recently was looking through one of my catalogues and noticed a sale on a "DVD burner."
Like.. Wtf?
Is that legal?

i have a DVD ROM, and DVD burner.
i make data discs sometimes, but mostly i just use them to copy movies.

My mom chose to have a dvd player instead of a dvd burner in our computer.

DVD Burners are standard in every decent PC nowadays. The HPs have had what they call "LightScribe" on theirs for over a year, and basically it burns the movie you want, you take the disc out and flip it over, and it will burn an image into the top of the disc.
I rarely use mine for burning movies now though, usually just data like Sanchez said. You can fit 130 songs or so on a data CD, but on a data DVD you can fit almost 1000 sometimes.

It’s legal because you can burn a pron video that you made and the burner isn’t made to burn illegal shit, but it’s used that way.

DVD burners aren’t just for burning pirated movies. You can capture video on a camera and then burn your own home movies.
