Oh, and if you’re too lazy to click the link... A recovering alcoholic in his early 40’s raped a chick at a college frat party in the 80’s. As part of his 12 step program, he found her whereabouts and wrote a letter apologizing. She pressed charges and he was arrested and sentenced to 18 months.
I just find it incredibly interesting. I mean, on one hand, you have a guy who did something really bad. On the other hand, he tried to make a right for it by admitting it and apologizing for it and setting himself up for punishment. He got it. Then you have the fact that he brought up the moment again, which I’m sure the woman did not want to relive. However, she is finally getting justice.
It’s definitely either a shades of gray issue or else a yin-yang type deal.
