Is any one else getting REALLY sick of this shit?
If you smoke, its your own fault, not the companies. Theres a warning on the side of the pack that it causes cancer, fear tactics and shock value only work on stupid manipulable morons. They’re sticking this shit all over my school now making Tobacco look like the devil and smokers look like morons. Also it looks like they’re taking the people in general as morons, like we’re to stupid to know inhaling smoke is bad for. This almost makes me want to smoke just to spite those annoying bastards.
Big Tobacco is a legitimate enterprise that brings billions of dollars into our economy each year. If big tobacco goes down, so does America’s wealth.

Now don’t get me wrong, I could be very misinformed, but apparently America’s economy is going down the toilet as it is anyways.
As for health, I agree completely, let people smoke if they want, it’s their decision. If someone smokes, obviously they don’t care about being healthy or living long or wasting money. Let them do it.

Ever since I can remember we always had anti-smoking ads all over my school. And it’s common knowledge, I agree, if you smoke it’s your decision. But when people smoke around others it effects everyone. Things should go back the way they were, a smoking and non-smoking section for restaurants and lifting the bullshit law saying people can’t smoke in public(might only be Canada, but oh well).

I know the hazards of smoking. Thats why I only smoke pot. Fuck tabacco, its a cancer stick. I mean if I maby smoke 1/8th every month, its alot differant than going through a pack a day.
Also, don’t you hate the "Above the Influence" commericals?

Ok, I’m not going to say anything about what Moose just wrote. I’m just going to ignore what he said he thinks is going on in the US of A.
Anyways, but isn’t it the Conservatives that are so very much against the free use of drugs? Isn’t it our choice to use whatever we want? I mean some things have to be controlled because of their side-effects (Coke, meth, crack, etc) but some things like marijuana, lsd, and other light drugs should be legalized, where the government can at least tax them and make some profit.
And how much is the war’s cost up to by the way? Its in the billions for sure. And with Katrina, 9/11, and the gross number of Illegal Aliens coming into the country, its pretty hard to believe that the economy is on the rise.

I liked that commercial where this bitch says "this is what your barinz is like while on drugs", then she smashes an egg and starts PMSing like fuck.

Liberals and Conservatives are both out to please the people that present themselves. And the peopel who present themselves are the foaming-at-the-mouth dipshits who think they know what they’re talking about and get preachy about everything(public and TV). Then the drones who can’t think for themselves just take it because it seems like a good idea from the surface. American need to learn to slow down and think.

picture it liek this, everytime a soldier fires a bullet in iraq and MISSES, he has to fir atleast one more shot in oreder to get the kill.
which MEANS the goverment has to buy atleast 2 more bullets to replace the ones used, and for the most part, military hardware comes from private industries (us military sidearms for example)
which means they make money,
now multiply that by however many of said item
and you have a growing economy ;o

Well WWII got the US out of the depression.
We have more technology now, and on the off chance a 20,000,000 stealth bomber gets blown out of the sky, the 50 some people that are going to rebuild it isn’t going to cover the loss. Our advanced weaponry is put together easier with less labor than before. We got robots.

I made a rant about this when some states banned smoking in your car. The lobbyists behind the anti-smoking campaigns think that they know what is best for everyone, and are trying to make their own little "perfect society". All the business practices mentioned in the Truth commercials are used by every other country in America (wow, a cigarette company inventing flavored cigarettes to increase profits? who would have thought?). The laws do nothing but take away the rights of Americans, if these assholes had their way you’d have to be 18 to buy fast food as well.

That was a fast derailment. But back to the topic, I remember in junior high, they started putting posters all throughout the halls saying things such as: "Smoking makes you lose your friends" or "Smoking isnt cool, its ugly and kills you" (im fucking serious, they werent even catchy) and right when I became a freshman, I started smoking, even though I was/am on a sports team.
