hey, i own a piece of shit dell 3100 with only 2 slots for RAM currently with 256mb DDR2 and a 512mb DDR2 stiks. After scrounging around today i found a 512mb DDR (NOT DDR2) lying around and i was just wondering if i could replace the 256mb DDR2 with the 512mb DDR stick.
*******
Basically can i use DDR2 with DDR?

I used to play DDR.
I actually have it for PS2, and I have 2 dance pads.

So it’s final. You’ll have to cut it in rectangles not triangles because it’s not the same as usual and hence better.

It all truely depends on how many nerds it takes to install Vonage.

i’m pretty sure you can’t, they are 2 different types of ram and they both have different numbers of pins. Not only that but they run at different bus speeds usually resulting in an unstable system. Stick with what you have right now, the average computer only has between 512MB-1024MB RAM so you should be fine.
