most of us know we celebrate easter because jesus was put in his tomb on good friday then, a few days later he arose and got out of the tomb. Christians believe this the door was still open.

No. We celebrate Easter because it is the day that Jesus Chrst rose from the dead. Also, we celebrate with painted eggs because there is a scroll from the Gnostic texts that says that Mary Magdalene went to the Emperor of Rome, notifying him that Jesus rose from the dead. He said that if Jesus rose from the dead, that an egg in a bowl next to him would turn red. And so it did, and the rest is history.
