A while back ago i downloaded medieval total war off a torrent site. i installed it and the torrent barley worked so i decided to uninstall it. being the smart person i am, i clicked cancel in the middle of the uninstall and when i tried to uninstall it again it said "cannot find the file uninstall.exe"
so i manually deleted every file i could find that had total war in it. later i decided to buy the game and have it shipped to me. i just got it today was all excited, put it in the CD drive and when i tried to install it it said ERROR: medieval - total war is already installed. Please uninstall medieval total war and continue this installation
i tried searching the registry and searching my whole computer for any file i could have missed.
i don’t know what to do. i really want to play this game and i can’t even install it!
help.

did you not read it! i deleted everything from total war manually. even if i could get uninstall.exe again it wouldnt matter because there would be nothing to uninstall.

Go to your Control Panel and click "Add/Remove Programs" Remove it from there.

you really must not pay attention. when i ran uninstall it deleted it so i can’t uninstall it again. i manually deleted everything from total war, but the computer still thinks the game is installed.

Well FUCK YOU then. Jesus, I’m trying to help. I’m saying that the uninstall might not have functioned properly so you might want to run it from there.

well, i sort of expected these kinds of replies from RE so i posted this same topic on 3 other computer forums so i will probably find a solution anyway.
slash, thanks for at least trying to help. i didn’t mean to come across as a smartass. (it’s mainly natural behavior)
