Ok i stole a computer from my school and it won’t let me log into it.It is a Windows 2000 professional. I have tried to start it up in safe mode but it still ask for a password and has a thing under the login that list all the severs from the local schools. can someone help me, PLEASE

seeing as the school most likely put a password on the bios i would say get a new Hard drive

lol, the BIOS is on the motherboard.
Reset the CMOS to take care of that, then format the hard drive.
google "reset CMOS".

Well, i’m to poor for a new hard drive. Is thar a way I could delet the hard drive and put windows xp onto it?

filthysanchez09- so I’m supost to open the thing up and pull out some battery thing? I dont want to do that if I absolutely have to. It also said something about holding the insert or delet buttin while turning it off. I’ll try that and if that doesn’t work ill open it up, but the thing is its a labtop and I don’t know anything about labtops. I’v only worked on towers.

I’v never had to reset the CMOS before so I’v never rilly messed with it.

Dude, get an installation disk of XP and boot it on your laptop to reformat the HD.
if you dont have one try getting on from one of your friends

theres a nifty program called killdisk for reformatting
