PEROSNALLY i held a relationship with a girl who moved 1700 miles away a month after we met, for over 6 months. . . .
but what do YOU guys think?
im ALSO asking this, caus ei like a girl who lives a ways away, but i don’t know if i should go for it or not if it’s just gonna die anyways

i also love how if you’re in a long distance relationship, and you get. . . bored (for lack of a better term) of the other person, (you ALL know it happens) all you have to do is sign offline/get off the phone for a while, and it’s all good and you can go right back to the lovin =P

I was in a long-distance relationship for over a year. It sucks ass because you never really get to hang out, always have to talk on the phone or on the net, nobody that you can physically touch, plane tickets aren’t always cheap, and it’s easier for them to see other people. Unless you are in a relationship before it becomes long-distance then it just isn’t worth the effort.

it depends wat u mean by long. everything is relative. up to 2 hours drive away yeah thatd work for me, longer than that isnt worth it. i wouldnt have time to see them that much if they lived that far away.

I wouldn’t bother with one. I think it’s pointless to be in one, especially when you are so young. I think it’s a waste of time unless you really, really love the person... until it’s almost at the point where it’s an obsession.
There’s enough love in your area to keep you from those dangerous long distance shits.
The only excuse for having one is if you’re either madly in love, if duty calls(war), spoarts player, and works. Those all have a purpose and it isn’t teenage bullshit luv..

aaaand we decided to try dating. . .

That one girl I posted pictures of in here, I believe it was in the girlfiends thread, we dated in person for about six months or so. Then a lot of horrible shit happened outside of our control. She got moved somewhere else, I was forced to flee the state. Stayed committed while you muthafuckas was babysitted, but after about a year of being in different time zones, we both knew it had to stop.
So, a few years later, we try again. And we realize that it just isn’t the same as it was when we were first together. She plays too many mind games and has loyalty issues, and she thinks I’m a player too much..

Imma tell you right now a long distance relationship can work. If you try at it. Me my girl lived in another state. We didnt see each other much maybe every second weekend. But with school holidays she came and stayed with me for the whole two weeks or i stayed with her. And we did this and it was good she never even kissed a dude before me which was even better. We first knew each other when she was 12 and then after like 2 years of getting to know each other and meeting up as friends. We decided to date and have been for so long. and now we are six months engaged and im her fiance. So it basically means how much effort and love you can put in the relationship and if you do this it can work.
