Since RI was an asshole and deleted amlost a weeks worth of my threads I have to start over.
The other day I picked up five boxes of of some strange black pellets.
Following the post from another RE member, I put a propane torch to a few and they did not break down like charcoal but just heat up and glow. This means that I have five boxes or activated carbon. What the hell can I do with it?
I don’t think it’s useful in gunpowder.

Mix it with steel to create hardened steel.

They used to be inside air filters.
They were the biggest filter canisters I had ever seen.

Uhh...build a nuclear reactor and place them throughout the reaction chamber as mini-control rods?
I dunno, theres not much you can do with carbon.

depending on how hard they are, you could place it in washing machines and dryers so people get carbon all over there clothes
or just throw it at people, or make a mini sputgun to us’em

maybe use them in making some steel? if you melt iron with carbon you can make steel. make a clay mould and put in your carbon and iron, then seal with more clay and bake in a (very) hot fire. whilst you would probably have no reason for making steel, its all i can think of that you could use them for. what were they supposed to be used for anyway?

maybe use them for some kind of flame proofing?

Plant an activated carbon tree. Be sure to water it with a mixture of mercury, urine, and crystal drano.

i remember from horrible science: chemical chaos that pure carbon in the form of graphite will turn into diamond under massive heat and pressure. unfortunately it doesnt specify what qualifies as massive heat and pressure. maybe if you heat these with a blow torch, with some serious weights on top.
