Hi, I need to find a way to increase my wireless router range cheap or free if possible. The wireless signal relayers or what ever they are called is not a possible solution. The boosting must be done to the router and not the system that uses the the wifi signal. Moving the router or furniture or the device is not a valid option either. If you can help me you will be rewarded. Thanks.

Longer antenna. Tis all i can think of that would increase the range. Just use a springy peice of steel wire, the twisted stuff they have on those cool stainless steel handrails.

tinfoil sucked... hmm this is rather annoying....

Try cutting up a coat-hanger and bending it straight. That would work alot better than tin-foil. As much as i love that stuff, its not the right thing for antennas.

so do I connect the wire to the antenna hole or do I wrap it around the existing antenna?

Oh and make sure its in an upright position. Then it should work. If not, then all you can do, is nothing. What do you need extra range for? Those things have decent range (usually, im not jumping to conclusions)
