I need to know if it’s possible to geta skull from Paris back to the USA. HYPOTHETICALLY taken from the catacombs.
Put it in checked luggage?
Carryon luggage?
Box and mail it?
Put tags on it and pretend its from store?
Anyone know if I could go to jail for something like that (for murder or whatever)? Legal repercussions gogogo

Just make it look like you bought it from a gift shop. And make sure it’s not a bomb and that you don’t look like a suspicious terrorist.
I think they would suspect something if you tried to hide it in your luggage. I skull would show up on the scanner and then you would have to go through the trouble of explaining it. It would be good if you had it in a small bag with other gift shop items.

I would try and disguise it as some kind of pencil/hat holder or wrap it in lead sheeting. Also catacombs are awesome.

If I put tags on it, then they’d know that I know it’s illegal, and tried to get around it. Rather than playing ignorant. But I was told if caught, I’d be sent back to Paris to deal with their police, and I’m not about to do that.
So think mailing it would be best? They don’t scan that shit, and if they do, i’ll have a sticker on the box saying "goth mart" or some halloween logo.

If you can manage it, I would carry it on the plane with you. Hopefully, you would be able to somehow carry it through the metal detector, because I think that would be the easiest way. I know it’s a skull and it’s probably too big, but it probably won’t set off the metal detector. Don’t put it in your baggage, because all baggage has to be scanned (even carry on luggage).
I wouldn’t advise that you put it in your checked luggage. My dad works for the TSA and he says that theft is rampant among baggage screeners. You’ll just be asking to get it stolen.
But, I don’t recommend even taking it out of the country. If they somehow find it, I guarantee you’ll be pulled in for questioning, and you better have a damn good excuse as to where you got it. I’m sure French officials won’t be too happy that their national catacombs are being desecrated, and you’ll probably be punished pretty severely. Also, you’d probably be on France’s and the US’s shit list for a while.
