This is kind of long, but it’s good, I promise!
Last night my friends threw a huuuuge toga party at one of their houses, and we all spent a lot of money buying 2 kegs, liquor, and tons of food and stuff for everyone.
Everyone is having a good time, it’s all going well, a lot of random people show up, but it’s still a good time.
Well today I was on my lunch break, and I went to go buy some food at Burger King, and when I went to pay, I looked in my wallet and realized that all my money was gone. I immediately called my friend and asked her if she had noticed anything missing either.
Turns out she was missing $95, and I was missing $30. Not only that, but my iPod was missing, and so was hers. Before the party started we had all put our purses in one room upstairs so no one would mess with them. Well throughout the night yeah we had all noticed weird things about our purses like they were open or misplaced but we didn’t think anything of it.
Well we start racking our brains trying to figure out who the hell would have been upstairs in that room. We call around and figure out that two people had been seen leaving that room, one of them we know who he came with, the other we find out later came with that same guy and one of the hostesses friends.
So we call up this guy, trying to get his friend’s number, and he’s being a big dick, and so we’re like ok fuck it we’re calling the cops because this is bull. The cops say the value is over $500 so we can press felony charges. We have three witnesses seeing them leaving the rooms, and we have fingerprints on our purses. And yet these guys are STILL denying it. (Also, they’re fucking dumb because my name is on the back of my iPod so if a cop got a warrant to search his shit, they would find it.)
Anyways, the guy won’t give up his friends’ last names or phones numbers, and he’s threatening to press harassment charges on us for calling him like twice. And he’s trying to get my friend in trouble for contributing to underage drinking.
Now my mission for all of you is...how do I get these fuckers back? Basically I want my stuff back, but I also want to press charges because it’s pretty ridiculous to go to a house where someone has provided two kegs, and like 50 pizzas for you and then steal their money and stuff.
And any legal advice would be great! Thanks.

I don’t believe you can get in trouble for admittedly drinking before, seeing as you don’t have any of it on you, and you weren’t being a nuisance to the public/a cop didn’t already write you a ticket.
I’d say press charges.

I wasn’t drinking. All of our stuff was in a room upstairs, the door was closed, the light was on. They had NO business being there.
If I press charges, they have to follow through. And tomorrow I’m getting my purse fingerprinted, and all the witnesses are making official statements.
Over $500 is a Class 6 Felony, something WILL happen to them.
And I’m not sure anything will happen with underage drinking because they have NO proof whatsoever, and the cop will just be liek whatever it has nothing to do with this.

step 2. Find blunt objects and masks.
Step 3. Get in car and go to perosns location.
Step 4. Camp out and wait for them to go somewhere secluded.
step 5. Put on masks and grab objects
Step 6. beat the hella shit out of them and rob their ass.
step 7(optional). Smash the shit out of there car.
Step 8. Feel the greatness that can only be achieved with sweet revenge.
...Of course there gonna assume its you but if you have masks then they cant be positive.

Wear a rubber gloves brand new clothes bought from a thrift store that doesn’t track inventory. Shave of all body hair. Take 3 plastic bags with you. Sneak into his house at night.(make sure not to be seen) . Sneak up quietly to his bed. Wrap the plastic bag around his head. Make sure it’s sealed firmly but not tight enough to wake him up. Leave the bag over his head for 5 minutes no less. Leave house, burn all clothes Gloves and bags. Repeat on next asshole. Problem solved!

It’s not like they’re going to get a minor to show up in the court room and testify that they got drinks from you.
Well, he could bribe someone to do it, but you can say it was an 21 and older party and that no minors were present there. if they were, they must’ve entered a private home without the owner’s consent. Which is trespassing. So they would also be in shit and it would be their fault for being in place that they shouldn’t be.

Just thought i’d add to syntax error’s point: the last I have heard is that in all states in the USA, providing alchohol to a minor, or being a purchaser of of alchohol in the same house as the drinking, as well as simply being a parent/guardian/owner of the property/minors, results in at least a 20,000 dollar fine. I have heard personal stories about how this had happened, and by the way....an extra 5 to ten thousand dollars is fined for every minor in the house at the party. this can ruin lives; I say drop this case and get revenge on them, and make sure you dont get caught. its either that, or you might get your shit back, but then your friend ends up living in a dump due to the underage drinking charges. choose wisely.

back on topic: dont worry; karma is a BITCH, let me tell you. this kid that lives up the street from me is a heavy drug abuser (pill popping, not weed.). he framed me, my 2 friends, and this girl one day, and ended up accusing us of selling him crushed adderal, percs, xanees, and cocaine. blah blah blah we got in trouble for shit we didnt do. a couple weeks later, he got a hold of the same shit. he apparently overdosed to the point where he passed out, started vommiting blood, and went into cardiac arrest. he was sent to the hos[ital obviously. he was also put on probation. he violated his probation. the night before his mom told the cops about his probation violation, he found out that one of his good friends had his guts rapped around a tree and had flew through the windshield of a car. he died within minutes. (dont get me wrong- i was friends with the kid that died, im just saying it impacted the kid that fucked with me, which was a good thing on my part-im still sad that the other kid died on such a horrible note.) after that, he OD’d again, and was sent to juvinile hall. he came back, OD’D AGAIN, and back he went. then, when he returned, he came up to me and spat in my face. i was a weakling back then, didnt do shit. but my friend saw it. the next day, my friends, each probably weighing around 190 lbs, opure muscle....jumped the kid, stole his weed, and beat him shitless.
trust me, those kids that stole your shit will get it big time. they’re in for one hell of a ride.
