Hmmm,
well i’ve decided that putting up with my peice of shit shitty computer is long over.
so im cleaning the fucker up.
I was just wondering what anti spywar/virus programs you guys use?
also, any other suggestions to clean my puppy up a bit?

Reboot it completely, you’ll be surprised at how fast it runs when it’s empty =P
I do that every 3 weeks or so.. (By reboot I mean reinstall your operating system)

Avast Antivirus
Or Just Go Here and hunt around
Ad Aware and Spybot are the best in my opinion, both can e found on FileHippo(second link) and are free.
AVG is a good antivirus as well.

I format when I know it’s time time to format and when the certain conditions are met:
1)So much spyware/adware it’s impossible for it to boot up without a pop-up hitting you
2)Less than 5GB of space
As for formating every 3 weeks then FUCK YOU. What a time waster and why would you want to do this? Just don’t install anything then, genius.
Get NOD32, fuck Norton in the ass, Download HijackThis, get some major Registry clean up program and uninstall some programs you haven’t used in 2 years.
It’ll work like a charm.

It’s not about porn, it’s the fact that I mass download movies and games on to a removable hard drive. It gets really slow after 100 or so movies, my computer isn’t the greatest but it gets the job done

I believe he means re-FORMAT it, but anyway, to make your PC run like new, it MIGHT be best to just reinstall Windows and THEN install Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware apps, because if stuff in Windowsis damaged from to much of that shit it won’t likely EVER be 100%.
Just re-install Windows, and before you even hook up to the Internet, install your anti-virus and any other Anti type apps THEN hook up and UPDATE them to a current state so you’ll be fully protected.

Save everything you need to save on CD’s and you can partition your new install into 2 virtual Hard Drives one with Windows and one ( the second partition) will never be deleted even if you need to re-install windows again, THAT will be where you save stuff.

I’ve reinstalled Windows many times and its one of the most helpfull things you can do. Make sure you have your graphic, sound, and internet drivers all sorted out beforehand though, solves a lot of headaches.
