My computer monitor has shit it’s self. The power button just flashes over and over again making beeps.

That’s it there. Anyone know what the problem may be? There is 150k in points up for grabs.

Do you have another CPU you can plug your monitor into? if the monitor is working,it could very well be the CPU problem.

Just hit it,If my monitor doesn’t work there are 2 trusted methods I use..
  1. Wiggle the wires
  2. Hit it

pretty much common sense but try using another monitor cord if u need one maybe i can sell u one cheap but u could just get off an old one easier other that that maybe it’s come loose either from power or the comp so try tightening it on both and look into getting a new power cord also hope u get it working

I opened up and fixed a monitor just like this. The reason it only stays on for a second is because there are 4 or 5 bad capacitors on the power supply board that have over heated and gone bad due to cheap parts or poor ventilation. All I had to do was replace them and the monitor worked fine after that. Also i resoldered one joint on the bottom. While I dont reccomend the average home user to try this it is an extremely easy fix if you have the right tools.

The other questions/ answers in that forum may help you too...
My guess is the problem is cheap parts/ labor..

Nathan, did it ever occur to you that yourself and i have the exact same monitors? The only difference between yours and mine is the colour. I’ve got a black one.

That’s amazing. I’m not too sure if the size of the monitor is different though.

I noticed in the image you posted the monitor itself is slightly tilted back. I just adjusted my monitor and pushed the monitor back. I was using the computer with the monitor straight, as straight as the twin towers before they ’sploded.

The screen looks so much better with a slight tilt.
