So... I don’t smoke/drink.
I don’t like it when people do. But for about 6 years I’ve know that my parents smoke, mostly marijuana. It’s troubled me that they only do it in private, and they lock the door and spray perfume after.
Over they years it’s become more and more obvious, and my dad’s getting up there (50+) and I really want him to stop, cause he starts coughing alot and can’t stop.
So today, on Christmas while cleaning up I see what by the bathroom garbage? Some bud...
Because they’ve never actually came out and told me they smoke (and I want to utilize this in a way for him to stop smoking, maybe once he knows I clearly know, and want him to stop, He might just do it) So what should I do as not to make a big scene and ruin Christmas?
I feel that picking it up and flushing it down the toilet while he’s in the bathroom might not get the message through... but making a big scene with my little brother there might be too much... or not enough?
What should I do oh RE people?

Just ask him to stop if you dont like it. but he will be fine.

Maybe I’ll tell him if he stops I’ll cut my hear and shave my beard and get a job....
then flush the bid infront of him.
I know he’s a grown man, but he has a young child and he needs to be there for him.

I want to make him feel really guilty, but not on Christmas... I’m torn as what to do.

I doubt a joint will make you cough as much as you say, unless theyre smoking multiple times a day, that would cause the lung issues.
Or, you can say you smoked, had a horrible time, and tell him in DETAIL how horrible it was. It will stay in his memory, and hit him next time he smokes. More than likely, he will stop, or at least for a while.
