Well, I just returned to RE after a looong while and realized how naive and ignorant I was as a middle schooler. I used to think that all drugs, including marijuana were bad, evil, and would cause me to end up as a burnt out old hobo. This is not the case for many drugs, especially not marijuana. This is a post to inform other little kids like me, not to get you to smoke but just so you know the facts and can make an informed decision instead of a stupid one...
Its impossible to get physically addicted to weed.
Its impossible to OD.
It causes cancer... but so do cigarettes, alcohol, and even the air the breath today, but marijuana is the only one of those things that also helps treat cancer...
It won’t kill ANY brain cells.
It might make you lazy, but if your smart, you will still lead a successful life, I have been smoking since 4/20/07 about 2-5 times a week (only on weekends) and take all honors/ AP classes. I have been able to stay above a 3.5 unweighted and above (at least probably more than) a 4.1 weighted.
I smoke quite a lot and can stop at any time, I have stopped for up to a month at a time for no reason, (I just felt like it) and experienced no withdrawl symptoms.
Don’t say its bad just cuz it’s illegal, (legality is a horrible way to measure morality) it used to be illegal to free slaves, does that mean it was the wrong thing to do?
Anybody, try and post a reason why you think marijuana is bad and if somebody gives me a GOOD reason, I’ll put the bong down for good...

Its impossible to OD... no its not, anythings possible. But to od you have to eat or smoke half ur bodyweight

It is physically impossible to OD on weed. You pass out long before you smoke enough to OD.

Oh, and ONE person has overdosed on weed. He took a lot of weed capsules... But smoking it is harmless.

Personally i don’t like weed because over the past 3 years i watched as a girl i love ’just tried it’ at a party, smoked it regularily for half a year, said to me word for word "well weed didn’t hurt me, so im going to try this" and got hooked on ecstasy, dropped out of school, is now anorexic, mentally addicted to weed, physically addicted to E, does coke, shrooms and acid on a regular basis,
and has all but totally ruined her life.
personally i couldn’t give two shits if you smoke it or not (even i do on occasion) but fuck do i ever hate it.

Yeah I can see how some people would say it was a gateway drug, but so are cigarettes and alcohol. I think that marijuana being illegal MAY make it a gateway drug to other illegal drugs because people think the other illegal drugs may be as harmless as weed.

thats not a problem with weed its a problem with the man cause he lied and said it would make you kill babies and rape nuns but when people try it and relies thats bullshit then they think hey mabey they lied about crack too

Hey even thought there is no proof that marijuana is or isnt a gateway drug it sure acts it.
Some people may believe it is and that can be enough to cause it to ACT as a gateway drug and make people try other things. Here’s their thinking "oh well i can handle weed so i can handle alcohol" and they end up really liking alcohol and become addicted to alcohol. Or pills.
I know i thought "heh i lke weed highs i would be open to some vics or percs"
thats a gateway. Just because there isnt any scientific evidence doesnt mean anything. Most people will believe "science" and not try to argue with it because its science, science has caused SO many people to believe false things in the past, why cant that happen again?

No offence dude, but that’s her own stupid fault.
Weed didn’t make her do that shit did it?
I bet she drank (alcohol) before she did weed right?
Well...How do you know it wasn’t alcohol that made her say "I’ll just try pot"?
I love pot. Always will. I’ ve tried other drugs since I started smoking, but I don’t blame that on weed. It was a conscious decision I made to do drugs.
I haven’t ruined my life. And I know I won’t.

weed actually doesn’t cause cancer, and will kill brain cells with heavy use... i’ve done SO much research on it

hey, I just stabbed my friend in the face with a knife. but thats okay, other people do it too.
im not going to argue my stance on this.
I know why she started weed.
I know what amde her want to try other stuff.
I know it’s not the weeds fault, but it did give her a helping hand.
It’s not pretty watching someone you love green out, then get hauled away in an ambulance un responsive. three times.
