Depends on how much you want. If you want all of it, just pop the hard drive out of the old one, and put it in the new one as a slave drive.

You can use dual DVDs, if you feel like spending a shit-ton of money on the media, a burner if you don’t have one, and using about 5 disks.

Eh... I would think twice about that. Some conditions wouldn’t allow you to do that and after you pop it in and try to explore the drive it says you are required to format it. It happened to me, but it might not be everyone.
I say if you have have a DVD-ROM that’s able to burn DVDs then just do that (Or CD Burner) . DVDs are able to hold 4.5GB or somewhere near there and CDs can hold up to 750MB or you can buy a 2GB flash drive (I bought mine for $30 at K-Mart) and just keep transferring it with the flash drive.

If you can’t do any of that then download KGB archiver which compresses the shit out of anything.
Say you have a folder that is about 1-2GB then you can use KGB and it will come out a very small file (Some where in the 10-500KB, YES, KILOBYTES) and upload it to Megaupload or Rapidshare and download it from your other computer.
However, you need a pretty decent computer to use KGB archiver on such large files and it will take about 6 hours to uncompress a 100KB file into like 1-2GB.

That’s pretty much all I can think off.

Just upload it as multiple torrents maybe?
Such as 10 4 gb torrents, and download them onto the laptop and delete the torrents, that’s if you have fast internet.
That’s all i can really think of.

Set the desktop up as a server, then connect the laptop to it and transfer.

Trimbzz has an egg on it.

I’ll try setting this up as a server tomorrow, thanks for the help.
