I never actually took this into account, but i don’t listen a single Australian band/artist. Now, this was never an issue for me until i got assigned with a music assignment. The theme of the assignment is "Australian Musicians". . . Now, the second i saw "Australian" musicians, i was slightly angered. I tried explaining to my music teacher i don’t listen to Australian music, and i don’t want to do my assignment on Australians. I suggested i did "foreign" artists. She simply said "Damien, you need to learn how to appreciate Australia’s music". She suggested one artist that i "might like" because he "plays trumpet", his name was "James Morrison". I found some of his music, and quite frankly... It’s not my thing.
So basically I have to do a major assignment on an Australian artist. No, I’m not doing ACDC, the majority of the class is doing that. AND, to make it even worse, you have to "share YOUR music" (How the fuck is it "my" music, when i dislike it)... Anyway I’m thinking this...
I do the assignment on Tomas Kalnoky, and either
a) Tell her he’s Australian (Which is an insult to the great musician)
OR
b) Tell her I’m not familiar with Australian music and i stood up.
So, summary. FF has a problem with his music assignment and does not know any Australian musicians. I assume ya’ll have less of an idea about this than i do, but seriously, does Australia have any GOOD artists? I was trying to educate the class on ska/punk... But i don’t believe Australia has any of that. If so, new band for me? I think so.
In return i will 5* all your eggs on a level 28 account, 45 account and 10 account.

Australian music is gay. Oh, and you mean Aboriginals? They’ve never recorded a CD, so that’s out of the question.

Quote: Wolfmother is a Grammy Award winning Australian hard rock band from Sydney, New South Wales.
Granted I dislike them, but they’re Australian and they’ll probably be the closest you’ll get to finding a somewhat good Australian band, no offense.

None offense taken Doop, i personally have no respect for Australian music. The majority is mainstream.
Woflmother is a mainstream "rock" band. Here’s a link to some of their music, not bad if i might add. But someone else is doing their assignment on them.
