has that occurred to anyone before- going into a bank, kill the guard, take his gun and leave before anyone knows whats happened. it seems so very easy. you will have a gun thats not registered to you, go out and commit a crime with it and the police have no leads.

Anyone dumb enough to do this is probably also dumb enough to not wear a mask or gloves, leaving behind prints and his face on a security camera.
Besides, do you have any idea what it takes to kill someone? Unless you’ve had a LOT of training, you’ll most likely need a weapon of some kind, and even then, people don’t just drop like they do in the movies.
I guess this is a better idea than taking your own gun in, but only sightly. Most banks have auto-alarms that are activated from behind the counter, so within five minutes you’ll have ever cop in your county crawling up your ass.
Don’t rob banks, folks. If you’re going to rob a bank, don’t post about it on the freakin’ internet, especially on a site that is almost definitely flagged by the government.

Been done, 2 guys in melbourne? *TACKLED* a security guard and took his gun, but didnt murder.
They pulled off alot of bank and shop robberies, the last one they were doing had a perfect plan but one robber was shot, and both went to jail.

Ah, I thought this was going to be a cool proverb, similar to Cutting off your nose to spite your face.
I don’t think you would have to kill the security guard, per say, rather just take the weapon. Subtly, if possible. If you kill him and then get caught it’s murder, If you take the weapon and just threaten people in order to get the money then juries will go easier on you

Killing someone with your bare hands is not easy. Even if you know how to do it, you have to hit fast and hard, before your opponent has a chance to react to what you’re doing. Most people get "gun shy," if you will, and don’t use enough force. It takes a pretty ruthless motherfucker to simply smash someone’s windpipe full-force with no apprehension, especially since the simplest time to do that is before any other blows have been thrown. With all the "fair fight" bullshit floating around this society, even common thugs would rather "fight to the death" than just snap a fucker’s neck and be done with it.

If you really wanted to do it, you’d have to get over the fact that you’re about to extinguish the life of another human being. Most people just aren’t that savage. You’re assuming your facing each other with the intention of fighting.
there is a saying in prisons: "you never see the knife that kills you". if someone makes it obvious he wants to kill you, then he’s just trying to intimidate.
krazyduck wrote an egg on vital targets for a knife, most of those are vunerable even naked handed.

Not necessarily. Like I said before, it’s a simple matter to simply pass by somebody and chop him in the larynx before he ever sees it coming. This would crush his windpipe, and he would die within minutes from lack of oxygen and blood loss. It’s even simpler to walk up and slash someone’s throat. The sticking point to killing someone isn’t knowing how, it’s working up the nerve, and working up the nerve is aided by training. If you go through the motions of slashing a throat a few thousand times, it’s a lot easier to get comfortable with the idea of actually doing it to kill somebody.
Even armed with a knife, an untrained person is not an effective killing machine. People don’t use enough pressure, cut the wrong spot, or simply chicken out. This is why if you’re going to kill someone, it’s essential to know exactly what you’re doing so you can drop the person without giving him any possible way to stop you or fight back.
I still say an ordinary schmo would be a fool to try to kill a guard and take his gun without any kind of training under his belt. You’d be surprised how difficult a seemingly simple task can be if you’ve never actually done it before. Knowing how to do something and actually doing it are two very different things.

I never said this is the plan I would use to rob a bank. Personally, I would never rob a bank because the likelihood of getting away with it is very slim. I was simply discussing the merits and pitfalls (mostly pitfalls) of the plan set out by the topic’s author.
