Should I get it and drop XP?
I mean I’m digging XP, but it seems like Vista is getting better and better.
Plus, it looks good.
Yea or Nay?
Cons? Pros?
I mainly just download music and play games off Steam.

Get it in about a year, or just before they put out whatever the next one will be. It will be at it’s best then.

Get XP black. It looks like vista, and it’s awesome. PM me for details.

10 bucks says you’ve never used it.

Danno, if you can run it and you aren’t paying for it, then get it.

Vista is pretty decent as long as your pc will run it. There are quite a few compatability issues but wtf do you expect its a newer OS.

Vista can be annoying sometimes. My laptop takes waaaay too long to start up and I blame it on Vista. It’s not bad though, I still prefer it to that Apple bullshit.

I have Vista on my laptop. It does get highly annoying at times, but other times I can sit back, and enjoy it.

Depends what version, Home Basic is crap and there is no point in it, Home Preimium is quite good.

I wouldn’t recommend upgrading to Vista yet though, as there is on compatability issue on this laptop, that Vista came with!

I don’t mind Vista, but networking can be a pain, you have to get Vista to discover other computers, wheras with XP you plug and play.

If you want screenshots of anything, just ask. I haven’t tried Vista on anything other then this laptop, so I don’t really know how bad it can be upgrading to it. I am dual booting XP, so don’t drop XP just dual boot. This laptop also has 3GB’s of RAM, and I don’t notice much lag, a very small ammount if I’m using Aero and running Need For Speed Pro Street and Google Earth, but that’s expected I suppose.

Post your PC specs, it can help. My advice would be to wait until SP1 comes out, the Beta has helped me a bit, solving my one compatability issue with my 56k Modem.

What version of Vista?
What are your PC specs.

Regardless, if people want to do gaming, and keep up to date, they’re going to have to get Vista, as soon Microsoft will just dispose of it like everything else.

Ask if you want anything, I’ll be happy to help.

Oh yeah, Vista takes quite a bit longer then XP starting up, but once it’s up and running it’s pretty quick. There are some programs people have made to speed it up, I might try them. The media side of Vista’s nice.

Oh, big updates take ages on Vista, when you first update, it takes like half an hour, and it’s unusable wil it does it, unlike XP’s in-the-background-updating.

the1337, you cock, (sp) means Spelled right?

And get XP White you racist fuck.
